I am Sarah "Freedz" Conlon, a German artist who creates whimsical and nostalgic art, with a particular passion for illustrating board games. I live in a cozy log cabin nestled in the woods of Northfield. My journey into illustrations began during the lockdown in March 2020, when I taught myself how to draw digitally using the drawing program Procreate on my iPad.
When I am not drawing or playing board games, I enjoy snowboarding, mountain biking, and going hiking with my dog Bailey.
I specialize in illustrating board games, bringing my creativity to game nights with whimsical and imaginative designs, but my interests are also picture books, graphic novels, book covers, and decorative products such as posters and postcards.
Since 2020, I have been drawing (almost) daily, filling the canvas with cute, fantastical creatures and imaginative scenes. My style is influenced by 2D video games, Vermont's natural beauty, and my active imagination. My art has been described as "nostalgic and whimsical", blending "upbeat melancholy" with "charming humor."
I have also done collaborations and exhibitions with The SOUR Collective, Mad River Valley Arts, O'Maddies, and The Arts Bus in Vermont.
