Our Very Dark Maple Syrup is made from maple trees on our four acre plot. This grade is the same as the old Grade B. The maple grove has been bird-friendly certified by VT Audubon. Sap is boiled over a wood-fired evaporator, using firewood we have obtained from our forest in Northfield Falls. The only ingredients are maple sap and a miniscule amount of defoamer (we use a vegetable oil defoamer that is labeled as kosher).
