Lightfoot Farm is in Northfield Falls and consists of two acres of fruit trees, berry bushes, strawberries, and nut trees. We also grow herbs, as well as flowers for drying, in raised beds. We do not use any pesticides or herbicides and we use locally purchased compost, organic fertilizers, and sprays which are approved for certified organic growers. In addition to this, we have four acres of maple trees tapped for maple production and make an average of 65 gallons a year. Our mission is to provide healthy food, herbs, and flowers for the body and soul. We sell low sugar, maple sweetened jams in strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, red currant and black currant. Our elderberry syrup is made from locally gathered, wild elderberries or our farm grown elderberries and Vermont raw honey. Our black currant syrup is made with our black currants and maple syrup. Our herbs are dried in our barn and blended to produce both medicinal and flavorful blends of teas. We grow strawflowers, globe flowers, statice, german statice, silver queen artemesia, lady's mantle, wheatstraw celosia, and more and dry those flowers in our barn to use in dried floral bunches and wreaths.
