The Northfield Farmers Market is seeking a part-time market manager responsible for on-site market operation for this established yet growing market held 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, from May 16 to October 10. The ideal applicant should be outgoing, organized, and enthusiastic about local agriculture, food and crafts. The position entails six hours/week for 22 weeks at $15/hour compensation, for the following tasks:
Mondays (1 hour)
10 a.m. Update and distribute vendor map
Tuesdays (5 hours)
8 a.m. Put up five market signs on Main Street/Route 12 (30 minutes)
2:30 p.m. Oversee vendor set-up, collect vendor products, aggregate online orders (30 minutes)
3 p.m. Process credit, debit & EBT transactions; handle online customer order pick-up (3 hours)
6 p.m. Collect sales tracking slips, tokens & coupons; complete transaction log sheet (30 minutes)
7 p.m. Collect market signs (30 minutes)
